چکیده

Forty-three untreated patients with ease. There is also no correlation beHodgkin’s disease were evaluated between lymphocyte transformation and tween 1965 and 1967 with PHA-stimuthe histologic pattern of nodular scierlated peripheral leukocyte cultures. No osis. Although PHA-induced lymphocorrelation was found between PHAcyte transformation appears to be a induced lymphocyte transformation at general index of immunologic status, the time of diagnosis and the clinical it has not proven of value as a progcourse of the patient’s Hodgkin’s disnostic sign in Hodgkin’s disease.

Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratios in COVID-19 Patients and Control Group and Relationship with Disease Prognosis

Background: The present study aimed to compare the complete blood count (CBC) indices between COVID-19 patients and the control group, and assess the relationship of these indices with COVID-19 prognosis given the role of complete blood counts in the COVID-19 prognosis. Methods: COVID-19 patients (confirmed by PCR or CT-Scan) who visited Imam Hospital in Sari were selected in this case-control...

Study of the ratio of Treg/Th1 and Treg/Th2 lymphocytes in Hodgkin's lymphoma patients and its relationship with disease prognosis

Background and purpose: CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ regulatory T cells (CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ Tregs) are a group of T lymphocytes that play an important role in regulating immune system responses by suppressing the activity of other T cells and establishing homeostasis in the immune system. Th1 and Th2 cells are other groups of CD4+ cells that play important functions in inducing inflammatory immune responses. C...

Impaired lymphocyte transformation and capping in autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura.

Alterations in lymphocyte function and the role of cell-mediated immunity have been studied in patients with autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura (ATP). The numbers of T cells, B cells, and null cells were 62 ± 4.0 %, 5.4 ± 0.8 %. and 33 %, respectively, in 43 patients and were no different than those found in 33 control measurements in normal subjects. In 31 ATP patients an inverse relationship...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the immune system and lymphocyte function in 41 Iranian β-thalassemic patients and 50 controls, ages ranging from 2 to 18 years. The patients consisted of 20 splenectomized and 21 non-splenectomized patients. They were treated with Desferal, and had received repeated blood transfusion. Laboratory investigations included measurement of total T lymphocyt...

Lymphocyte Transformation Induced by Autologous Cells

Lymphocytes incubated with phytohemagglutinin or concanavalin A develop the capacity to stimulate autologous lymphocyte transformation. This is not attributable to residual mitogen contaminating the lymphoblastic cell preparation as: (a) the dissociation of mitogen from the lymphoblastic cell preparation increases the degree of stimulation observed and (b) the kinetics of lymphocyte transformat...
